PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya Tourist Police stepped up water safety inspections on July 24, checking passenger boats and safety measures to ensure tourists can travel safely by sea. Officers inspected boat registration documents, operator licenses, passenger numbers to ensure they did not exceed permitted limits, and the readiness of safety equipment onboard before allowing boats to operate.
The checks are aimed at preventing accidents and building confidence among tourists using Pattaya’s marine transport services, particularly those travelling to nearby islands. Tourist Police also reminded visitors to wear life jackets every time they travel by boat, stressing that proper safety precautions are essential for a safe journey.
