BANGKOK, Thailand – The government is advancing cooperation with AIS Academy through the Ministry of Education to introduce artificial intelligence and digital technology into classrooms, helping teachers, students, and the public develop skills for the digital economy. The effort will also improve access to technology, increase cybersecurity awareness, expand learning opportunities, and prepare students for the PISA 2029 assessment.
The program introduces AI tools to assist with lesson planning, classroom instruction, and learning activities while reducing teachers’ administrative workloads. It will also offer training in AI, cloud technology, and other digital skills, along with nationally recognized certifications, professional credential pathways, and a credit bank system that allows learners to accumulate credits for future education and career advancement.
Deputy Government Spokesperson Patdarasm Thongsaluaykorn said the cooperation will expand high-speed internet access for schools in remote areas and increase access to digital library services for students, teachers, and the public. Educational programs will also help participants recognize online threats, understand cyber risks, develop responsible digital habits, and use technology safely.
The government said the partnership will support preparations for the PISA 2029 assessment by improving digital literacy and advancing Thailand’s education system alongside rapid technological change. Officials added that closer cooperation between the public and private sectors will help equip the country’s workforce with skills aligned with future economic and industrial needs. (NNT)
