
SATTAHIP, Thailand – Police in Sattahip are investigating after a 16-year-old girl reported that she was allegedly harassed and threatened by an unidentified older man at Dongtan Beach at around 5.30 p.m. on July 17. The teenager contacted Sattahip Police to file a report after claiming the incident left her frightened and concerned for her safety. According to her statement, the incident occurred while she was sitting with her boyfriend at Dongtan Beach in front of the Sattahip District Office. When her boyfriend left briefly to buy something, an elderly man approached and asked whether they had been drinking alcohol. She said that after she denied drinking and attempted to leave, the man allegedly grabbed her clothing, touched her, and acted in a threatening manner, causing her to fear for her safety.
The teenager told police that she managed to stay calm and secretly recorded video on her mobile phone as evidence. The man reportedly left the area after her boyfriend returned. Following the incident, the girl and her boyfriend went to Sattahip Police Station, where officers recorded her statement and began the investigation. Police are reviewing the video evidence, collecting additional information, and checking CCTV footage in the area in an effort to identify and question the man involved and proceed according to the law.
