PATTAYA, Thailand – A newly improved seaside bridge in Naklua is quickly becoming a popular gathering place for locals and visitors, offering a new spot to enjoy seafood, walk along the waterfront, watch the sunset and even try fishing by the sea. The bright blue and orange bridge, stretching nearly 200 meters, has attracted attention for its colorful design, open views and nighttime lighting. Visitors have been sharing photos and praising the new public space, saying it has brought fresh life to the Naklua area.
The area has also become a place for families and friends to spend their free time, with visitors seen walking, relaxing, enjoying the sea breeze and trying their luck fishing from the bridge. Local officials have assigned staff to regularly patrol the area to help maintain safety and order. Many residents have welcomed the development as part of efforts to revive Naklua as a tourism destination while preserving its identity as one of Pattaya’s oldest communities.
Often described as a gateway to Pattaya, Naklua is home to important government facilities including the Banglamung District Office, Banglamung Police Station, Provincial Waterworks and Provincial Electricity Authority offices. Residents say continued improvements to the area, including cleaner surroundings, better organization of shops and improved traffic management, will help make Naklua more convenient and attractive for both locals and tourists.
The new waterfront area has already created comparisons with other Pattaya attractions, with some visitors suggesting similar public activities could be introduced at Bali Hai Pier, allowing more people to enjoy the seaside atmosphere. For many, the Naklua bridge represents a new version of Pattaya — a place not only for nightlife and tourism, but also for families, relaxation and simple seaside activities.
