Pattaya businesses receive a warning after shop signs were found blocking public areas along Pattaya Second Road, with officials saying repeat violations will face legal action.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City officials have reminded business operators to keep public roads and walkways clear after finding shop signs placed on public areas along Pattaya Second Road, affecting traffic flow and pedestrian safety. On July 7, Pattaya municipal officers inspected the area after receiving concerns about commercial signs being placed on road surfaces and public spaces, creating obstacles for residents, visitors, and motorists. During the inspection, officials issued warnings to business operators and instructed them to remove the signs and keep them within their own premises. The operators cooperated and moved the signs back into their designated areas.

Pattaya officials said the warning was a first step to encourage cooperation from local businesses, but stressed that repeated violations will result in legal action under relevant regulations. Authorities continue to monitor public areas to ensure that sidewalks, roads, and shared spaces remain accessible and safe for everyone, including pedestrians and tourists. Residents and visitors can report public area obstructions through the Pattaya City Hall Hotline 1337.
