PATTAYA, Thailand – A small dog has been safely reunited with its owner after being dramatically rescued at sea off Koh Sichang, Sri Racha District, following a terrifying ordeal in which it was found drifting in the water. On June 20, fisherman Pitisan Phoksap or captain Tote was on a private fishing trip in the Koh Sichang area when he spotted a white object floating at sea. As he approached, he realized it was a small white fluffy dog in an exhausted condition. He immediately steered his boat closer and pulled the animal safely onboard. The dog appeared weak and fatigued, with no clear indication of how long it had been drifting at sea.
The fisherman provided initial care and kept the dog safe on board before bringing it ashore while seeking help to locate its owner. It was later confirmed that the dog had fallen from a boat and was swept away by strong currents before being spotted and rescued in time. Thanks to the fisherman’s quick action, the dog survived and was eventually returned to its owner. The heartwarming incident has drawn widespread attention online, with locals praising the timely rescue that ensured the dog’s safe return home.
