Thailand’s Thai Help Thai Plus 60/40 stimulus program has rapidly expanded, with nearly one million merchants passing initial screening and over 547,000 fully verified to begin public transactions within days of registration opening.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Periswiwattana announced that merchant registration for the government’s Thai Help Thai Plus 60/40 stimulus program has grown rapidly since it opened on May 25. As of May 26, at 5 p.m., a total of 995,334 shops nationwide have successfully cleared the initial qualification screening, approaching the one-million merchant milestone. Currently, 547,930 registered merchants are fully verified and ready for public transactions, a 20.8% increase in 24 hours. Most of this growth comes from pre-approved operators under the Half-Half Plus stimulus platform, who are actively logging in to accept the new program’s terms and conditions.

Simultaneously, new merchant registrations grew 85.4% in 24 hours, reaching 22,466 applications. Of these new applicants, data screening systems approved over 80%, while only 1.2% were rejected due to data discrepancies. On May 26 alone, the automated screening infrastructure processed and approved 92.9% of new daily registrations, showing high administrative efficiency. The government reaffirmed that the Thai Help Thai Plus 60/40 program is a vital mechanism to stimulate the grassroots economy. By expediting onboarding for community shops and small-scale business operators, the program aims to boost cash flow and increase domestic spending nationwide.
