PATTAYA, Thailand – Police on Koh Larn are preparing attempted murder charges against a bulldozer driver accused of ramming a Pattaya jet ski worker during a violent roadside confrontation reportedly linked to a long-running personal dispute. The incident, captured on CCTV, occurred near the entrance to Tawaen Beach on Koh Larn in Banglamung district, Chonburi province. The victim, 35-year-old jet ski attendant Sarawut “Boy” Saengkrai, said he was riding his motorcycle home when he encountered the suspect, identified only as “Pae,” 27, driving a tractor towing a trailer in the opposite direction.

According to Boy, the suspect shouted at him to stop before suddenly accelerating the vehicle directly toward him. Realizing the tractor was about to hit him, Boy said he jumped clear moments before the heavy vehicle slammed his motorcycle into a tree, destroying it. The victim further alleged that the suspect then grabbed a rock and attempted to attack him before nearby residents intervened to stop the confrontation. Boy later filed a police complaint with Pattaya City Police Station, saying the pair had been involved in ongoing tensions for more than a year over a personal relationship dispute. He also claimed the suspect taunted him after the attack, allegedly saying he was unafraid of police action.

Police investigators have since seized the tractor used in the incident and collected CCTV footage and evidence from the scene. The suspect later admitted to driving the tractor into the victim’s motorcycle but claimed he lost control emotionally after being insulted during the encounter. He denied boasting about having influential connections and said he was prepared to face legal consequences. Investigators said the suspect is expected to face charges including attempted murder and property damage. The employer of the tractor driver also reportedly told police he would not shield his employee if found guilty and supported legal action proceeding according to the law.
