
PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya city leaders joined local residents and tourists in celebrating the annual Naklua Wan Lai festival on April 18 at Lan Pho Public Park in Naklua, bringing another lively chapter to the Songkran festivities in the city.
Banglamung District Chief Anusak Piriya-amorn presided over the opening ceremony, joined by Pattaya Mayor Poramet Ngampichet, city executives, government officials, representatives from various agencies, and large numbers of residents and tourists.
The event was held to preserve local traditions during Songkran and featured a festive atmosphere filled with water play, cultural performances, and family-friendly activities.
Highlights included cultural parades, traditional Songkran water splashing, and ceremonies in which younger people poured water over the hands of elders to show respect and receive blessings, following Thai custom.

Traditional dance and folk performances also entertained visitors throughout the day, adding to the colorful atmosphere around Naklua.
City officials said the event aims not only to preserve local culture, but also to support tourism and stimulate the local economy in Naklua and Pattaya during the Songkran period.
Pattaya leaders also met closely with residents and tourists during the event, while encouraging everyone to celebrate responsibly, safely, and respectfully so that Songkran remains enjoyable for all.
