BANGKOK, Thailand – Chao Phraya Express Boat Company has announced a reduction in passenger fares across all boat services following a decline in diesel fuel prices.
The company said diesel prices recently dropped to 44.45 baht per litre, down by around 4 baht, prompting a fare reduction of 1 baht per trip starting Friday, 17 April 2026.
The adjustment applies to all major routes along the Chao Phraya River, which connects Nonthaburi, Bangkok, and Samut Prakan.
Updated fare structure
- Orange flag boats (Nonthaburi – Wat Rajsingkorn)
Reduced from 20 to 19 baht (full route) - Yellow flag boats (Nonthaburi – Sathorn)
Reduced from 25 to 24 baht (full route) - Green-yellow flag boats
- Pak Kret – Nonthaburi: 18 to 17 baht
- Nonthaburi – Sathorn: 25 to 24 baht
- Pak Kret – Sathorn: 37 to 36 baht
- Red flag air-conditioned boats (Nonthaburi – Sathorn)
Reduced from 34 to 33 baht
Company management said the fare reduction reflects lower operating costs and added that prices may be adjusted further if fuel costs continue to decline. (TNA)
