BANGKOK, Thailand – Si Sa Ket province has officially ended the emergency disaster status along the Thai-Cambodian border. This decision follows the stabilization of the situation and completion of relief efforts for affected communities.
The provincial administration and the Si Sa Ket Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Command issued the declaration in response to earlier border unrest caused by foreign forces. The conflict affected several districts, including Kantharalak, Khun Han, Phu Sing, Khukhan, and Phrai Bueng. Authorities have confirmed the situation has subsided.
Ongoing monitoring and assessments show that no further violent incidents have occurred and the situation remains under control. Government agencies have completed distributing aid and compensation to all affected citizens as required by official regulations.
As a result, Si Sa Ket has formally announced the order for the designated areas, effective from March 20, 2026. This action aims to restore normal life and strengthen public confidence in the safety and security of the border region.
