PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya and surrounding areas are expected to experience generally hot weather with hazy skies during the daytime, as Thailand continues to come under the influence of a heat low covering the upper part of the country.
According to the latest 24-hour forecast, conditions across Thailand remain predominantly hot to very hot in many areas, with occasional thunderstorms and gusty winds developing in some regions. While the most intense heat is expected in the North, Northeast, and Central regions, eastern provinces including Chonburi—home to Pattaya—will also see sustained high temperatures and humid conditions.
Residents and visitors in Pattaya are advised to expect hot daytime conditions, with temperatures likely reaching the mid-30s Celsius, along with reduced visibility from haze at times. The combination of weak southerly and southeasterly winds may contribute to light atmospheric instability, allowing for isolated afternoon or evening thunderstorms in nearby areas.
Authorities also warn that sudden gusty winds may accompany any localized storms, although widespread severe weather is not expected in the Pattaya area at this time.
Meanwhile, air quality conditions across upper Thailand remain a concern. Dust and haze accumulation is reported at moderate to fairly high levels in several regions, including parts of the North, Northeast, and upper Central Plains, due to weak ventilation. Eastern Thailand, including Pattaya, may also experience intermittent haze, particularly during the daytime.
Authorities advise the public to stay hydrated, avoid prolonged outdoor activity during peak heat hours, and remain cautious of changing weather conditions, especially in the late afternoon when isolated thunderstorms may occur.
Pattaya is expected to remain warm and humid over the next 24 hours, with no significant cooling trend in sight.
