PATTAYA, Thailand – Residents and visitors in Pattaya can expect hot daytime temperatures with the possibility of scattered thunderstorms and gusty winds, according to the latest forecast from the Thai Meteorological Department.

Weather officials say upper Thailand remains under the influence of a heat-induced low-pressure system, bringing warm conditions during the day while southerly and southeasterly winds increase the chance of isolated storms in some areas.

In the eastern region, which includes Pattaya and Chonburi Province, temperatures are expected to range from 24–27°C in the morning to 32–37°C during the afternoon, with thunderstorms possible in about 20 percent of the area.

Forecasters say coastal waters in the Gulf of Thailand may see waves around 1 meter high, but waves could exceed that level in areas experiencing thunderstorms. Boat operators and fishermen are advised to avoid sailing in stormy conditions.

Authorities are also urging people to take precautions during the hot weather, stay hydrated, and remain alert for sudden storms that could bring strong winds.

While Pattaya continues to see strong tourist activity along its beaches and waterfront, the mix of heat and occasional showers is typical for this time of year as Thailand transitions toward the hotter months ahead.

Meanwhile, air quality in northern and northeastern Thailand remains moderate to relatively high due to dust accumulation and limited air circulation, although conditions in coastal areas such as Pattaya remain generally clearer.
