PATTAYA, Thailand – An Italian tourist was critically injured when his big bike collided with a car making a U-turn on Thappraya Road, Soi 5, South Pattaya, on the evening of March 20.

Rescue teams from Sawang Boriboon arrived around 9:30 PM after an emergency call. Authorities found the bronze Toyota sedan spun onto the pavement with rear-end damage, while the biker lay seriously injured beside his heavily damaged motorcycle. The American driver was unharmed and remained at the scene to cooperate with police.

The biker’s front wheel had detached, and engine oil spilled across the road. Rescue workers provided first aid before rushing him to a nearby hospital for urgent treatment.

Eyewitnesses, including a local delivery rider, said the big bike was traveling at high speed when the car began a U-turn, resulting in a loud collision as the motorcycle struck the rear of the vehicle.

Police from Pattaya City Station documented the scene, interviewed witnesses, and are reviewing CCTV footage to determine the exact sequence of events. Authorities emphasized that the investigation will ensure a fair assessment for all parties involved.
