Bangkok’s Lumphini Park turns into pirate playground for One Piece Grand Line event

BANGKOK, Thailand – Lumphini Park has been transformed into a pirate-themed paradise to celebrate the launch of the new series “One Piece: Head to the Grand Line.”

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), in collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Netflix, has launched the “Grand Line in Thailand” themed activities at Lumphini Park in Bangkok. The event runs until 15 March 2026, offering fans and visitors an immersive experience inspired by the world of One Piece.

The initiative is part of Thailand’s event marketing strategy, using pop culture events to create unique tourism experiences. The campaign aims to attract travelers and One Piece’s fan communities from around the world, while enhancing Thailand’s global recognition.

Highlighted activities include the following:

– Pirate pedal boat—Enjoy a themed boat ride across the lake and encounter a simulated setting of a legendary giant whale;

– Photo zone—Capture scenes at the themed selfie spots, including photo points with the character Luffy and the meeting point with Chopper;

– Grand Line experience—Lumphini Park is transformed into the world of “Grand Line,” creating a pop culture tourism experience in the heart of Bangkok.



The event is running until 15 March. The photo zones and general activities are open from 07.00 to 22.00 hr, and the pirate pedal boat hours are from 07.00 to 13.00 hr and from 14.00 to 18.30 hr.

Admission is free. Visitors are required to present an ID card or passport as a deposit to borrow equipment. Each session is limited to 60 minutes. (NNT)
