BANGKOK, Thailand – On Monday, 9 March 2026, Bodhigaya Vijjalaya 980 Institute (BGVI) and Dharma Alliance, Geneva, held a press conference to commemorate the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two institutions. The event also featured the launch of the book Dhamma Beyond Borders.

The event aimed to highlight the role of Dharma in addressing global challenges, reducing conflict, tackling environmental issues, and strengthening shared human values. Amid growing global uncertainty, Dharma was presented as a spiritual foundation that can contribute to lasting peace, sustainable development, and practical policy solutions.

Representatives from BGVI, Dharma Alliance, Geneva, and members of the media attended and witnessed the MOU signing ceremony. The ceremony was followed by the launch of Dhamma Beyond Borders. Each session emphasized that Dharma is not only a set of internal teachings for Buddhists, but also a framework for cooperation that can help promote long-term peace and sustainability within the international community.

Both institutions will continue to work closely to advance the role of Dharma in a rapidly changing world. Academic collaboration and intellectual exchange will serve as key mechanisms to support this mission. The institutions also plan to expand their networks and foster cooperation with organizations that share and uphold the ethical values of Dharma. (NNT)
