PATTAYA, Thailand – Traffic police in Pattaya have announced a series of measures to manage congestion and ensure public safety during the upcoming Pattaya Music Festival 2026, which will take place every Friday and Saturday throughout March.
Amorntep Mai-ma, traffic inspector at Pattaya City Police Station, said authorities have prepared traffic facilitation plans for the festival’s opening weekend on March 6–7, which will be held along Pattaya Beach.
Unlike some previous years, major roads in Pattaya will remain open to normal traffic during the festival period. However, motorists and visitors are advised to plan their journeys in advance as heavy traffic is expected in the city center.
Authorities are encouraging people to use public transportation, including free shuttle services provided to transport festival-goers from designated parking areas to the beachfront event zones.

Parking and Shuttle Services
Pattaya City has arranged parking spaces capable of accommodating around 2,800 vehicles at several locations across the city, including:
- Wat Nong Yai
- Tesco Lotus North Pattaya
- Central Pattaya
- Central Marina
- Tesco Lotus Thepprasit
- Big C South Pattaya
From these parking locations, free shuttle buses—both conventional and electric vehicles—will operate from 6:00 PM onward, transporting visitors directly to the festival areas along Pattaya Beach.
Suggested Routes to Avoid City Traffic
For motorists who do not plan to attend the festival but need to travel through Pattaya, police recommend using alternative routes to bypass the city center.

Drivers traveling between Bang Lamung and Sattahip are advised to use:
- Sukhumvit Road Thailand for travel toward Huai Yai and Sattahip
- Motorway 7 Thailand and exit near Ocean Marina Yacht Club to reach the Huai Yai–Sattahip area without entering Pattaya
- Highway 331 Thailand for motorists traveling from Khao Mai Kaew or the Nikhom Phatthana industrial area toward Sattahip and Phutaluang
Safety and Fare Warnings
Police also urged drivers to check their vehicles before traveling, wear helmets when riding motorcycles, and avoid drinking alcohol before driving to reduce the risk of accidents during the busy festival weekends.
Public transport drivers were also warned not to overcharge passengers, with authorities promising strict legal action against anyone found exploiting festival-goers.
The Pattaya Music Festival 2026 will take place at multiple locations including Pattaya Beach, Jomtien Beach, Koh Larn and Lan Pho Naklua Market. The month-long event features performances by well-known Thai artists across several stages and is expected to attract large crowds while boosting tourism in Pattaya.
