BANGKOK, Thailand – Berlin is hosting “Amazing Thailand Fest 2026 (The Wholesome Taste of Thai)” at the renowned KaDeWe Department Store, as the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in partnership with Central Group, steps up efforts to promote Thai cuisine and tourism to German and European audiences during ITB 2026. The event runs from March 2 to 14 and serves as a major platform to reinforce Thailand’s image in one of Europe’s most important travel markets.
Attending the event, TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool said the campaign presents Thai food as a gateway to discovering the country’s culture and travel experiences. The promotion includes a large-scale brand takeover of KaDeWe, featuring a giant banner across the building’s central façade and 10 window displays along its main street frontage. The showcases present culinary traditions from Thailand’s five regions, scenic destinations, architectural heritage, and contemporary handicrafts, as well as tourism themes such as wellness travel and the Songkran Festival. Private sector participants include Thailand Privilege Card Company Limited and GOOD GOODS, offering locally inspired Thai products adapted for modern consumers.
From March 5 to 7, the department store will host special activities, including Thai cultural performances and live cooking demonstrations. Visitors can sample authentic dishes, join interactive sessions, and receive travel information, creating a direct link between Thai gastronomy and tourism opportunities.
Organizers expect the promotion to reach at least 7 million people, including Berlin residents and international visitors. (NNT)
