BANGKOK, Thailand – The Public Relations Department (PRD) has renewed its memorandum of understanding with the Thai Media Fund to continue co-producing television programs that promote safe and creative content. Implemented through the National Broadcasting Services of Thailand (NBT), the agreement extends cooperation that began in 2024 and was due to expire at the end of February 2026. The partnership will now run through February 29, 2028.
PRD Deputy Director-General Chaiwat Boonchawalit witnessed the signing ceremony, underscoring continued support for collaboration among public agencies in national communication efforts. NBT Director Tasneeyaporn Duangkeaw said the cooperation supports the production and broadcast of programs that serve the public interest and expand access to creative content through NBT’s nationwide network.
Thanakorn Srisukhsai, manager of the Thai Media Fund, stated that the fund backs media projects that provide social value and strengthen production capacity. Since the agreement took effect, the fund has supported 16 television programs, with NBT providing appropriate airtime for broadcast.
The PRD reported that several programs have drawn positive audience responses. One example, Edible Story Thailand, recorded a rating of 0.088, which is about 50,000 viewers per minute. (NNT)
