
PATTAYA, Thailand – The Royal Thai Government, led by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, hosted a promotional event for the Amazing Thailand Chinese New Year 2026 at Government House, marking the 51st anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the People’s Republic of China.
The event was attended by Mr. Zhang Jianwei, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Thailand; Mr. Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport; Captain Thammanat Prompao, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives; Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT); and senior representatives from relevant government agencies, reflecting coordinated, cross-sectoral support for the festival.
In preparation for the upcoming Chinese New Year period, TAT is hosting two main festival events in Bangkok and one flagship event in Hat Yai, while supporting celebrations in key regional destinations.
In Bangkok, Amazing Thailand Happy Chinese New Year 2026 will take place across two locations. Festive illuminations will be presented along Yaowarat Road, from Odeon Circle to Chaloem Buri Intersection, from 7 February to 1 March, daily from 18.00 to 23.00 Hrs. The main festival programme will be held at Siam Paragon from 14 to 18 February, daily from 16.00 to 22.00 Hrs.

In Hat Yai, Songkhla Province, TAT will host Amazing Thailand Chinese New Year 2026 @ Hat Yai from 17 to 20 February along Saneha Nusorn Road, reinforcing Hat Yai’s role as a key tourism hub in Southern Thailand.
Beyond the two flagship destinations, TAT is supporting established Chinese New Year celebrations in the regions, including the Chao Pho–Chao Mae Pak Nam Pho procession in Nakhon Sawan Province from 10 to 21 February, and the Suphan Buri Chinese New Year Festival: 18 Years of the Heavenly Dragon at Dragon Descendants Museum, Suphan Buri Province, from 17 to 18 February.
Thailand’s Chinese New Year 2026 celebrations are supported by a network of government and private-sector partners, including Siam Paragon, ICONSIAM, centralwOrld and shopping centres under Central Group, and The Mall Group, working together to encourage travel and extend the festival’s reach nationwide.
