BANGKOK, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) hosted the Amazing Thailand Networking Lunch during Fitur Madrid 2026, one of Europe’s leading international tourism trade fairs. The event brought together over 100 travel agents and media representatives from Spanish-speaking markets and Latin America to strengthen tourism cooperation.
The networking lunch aimed to deepen engagement with key partners in high-potential markets and to present Thailand’s future tourism strategies. The focus is on attracting quality travelers who seek meaningful experiences, sustainability, and cultural authenticity.
TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool presented Thailand’s tourism vision under the concept “Healing is the New Luxury,” which reflects the country’s strategic adjustment to evolving global tourism trends. This approach emphasizes experiences that provide personal meaning and foster connections with nature, local communities, and cultural heritage.
The TAT Governor noted that Thailand is prioritizing quality-driven tourism over volume-based growth to generate sustainable value for visitors, communities, and the national economy in the long term. Under this approach, luxury is redefined beyond comfort to include well-being, balance, and meaningful human connections.
TAT expressed confidence that the event reinforced trust in travel to Thailand and provided an effective platform to expand cooperation with international partners. The initiative also reaffirmed Thailand’s readiness and potential as a world-class destination for quality tourism. (NNT)
