PHUKET, Thailand – The Sports Authority of Thailand, in cooperation with the Office of the National Soft Power Strategy Committee, has opened registration for a free basic Muay Thai instructor training course for foreign nationals, with the first session scheduled in Phuket from February 3 to 7.

The course will provide participants with a strong foundation in Muay Thai for those seeking to pursue instructor roles in the future. Training will be led by master-level instructors certified by the Office of the Boxing Sports Commission and follows the theme Discover. Train. Inspire.

Those accepted into the program will receive full support at no cost, including five nights of accommodation at Dara Hotel Phuket, meals and snacks throughout the course, Muay Thai training attire and traditional Wai Kru equipment, learning materials, and an official certificate upon successful completion.

The curriculum includes the history and fundamentals of Muay Thai, basic anatomy and physiology for instructors, and practical instruction in offensive and defensive techniques using fists, feet, knees, and elbows. Both classroom learning and hands-on training are included.

The program is open exclusively to foreigners, including tourists, expatriates, and digital nomads, aged 20 to 60, with a clear interest in Muay Thai. Enrollment is limited, and interested individuals are encouraged to apply or request further information through the QR code on the promotional materials. (NNT)
