BANGKOK, Thailand – A road subsidence has occurred on the inbound parallel lane of Rama II Road near the entrance to an orchid hotel in Samut Sakhon Province after a water supply pipeline ruptured. The incident caused a pickup truck to fall into the collapsed section, leading to traffic congestion.

Samut Sakhon City Municipality reported that a 1,000-millimeter water transmission pipe was damaged on the parallel lane of Rama II Road, Highway No. 35, at kilometer marker 29+300, inbound to Bangkok, in front of a construction materials store. This damage temporarily disrupted the water supply across all municipal service areas.

Authorities urged motorists to avoid the affected section to allow officials to repair the road and ensure safety.
