
BANGKOK, Thailand – The Ministry of Culture has unveiled the project “Art in Tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother,” a heartfelt celebration honoring the legacy of Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother.
Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Culture Prasop Riangngoen presided over the opening ceremony, held under the concept “With Reverence, Love and Loyalty: Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, Our Beloved Queen Mother”. The initiative is organized by the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture in collaboration with the Alumni Association of the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University, as well as national artists, invited artists, faculty members, students, and alumni from related institutions.
A total of 93 paintings by 200 artists are presented to express loyalty, pay tribute, and honour the royal grace and contributions of Her Majesty the Queen Mother. The exhibition features royal portraits and paintings of Her Majesty’s duties, while also promoting the value of contemporary Thai art to international communities. The artworks, mainly in acrylic, were created by individual and group artists, reflecting the knowledge and artistic capabilities of Thai artists and serving as a valuable learning resource for students, educators, and the public.
The exhibition is open to the public free of charge from December 30, 2025, to January 28, 2026, at the Ratchadamnoen Contemporary Art Gallery in Bangkok, from Tuesday to Sunday. (NNT)
