Civil registration and ID card services to remain open during New Year holidays

Officials provide civil registration and national ID card services at a local district office, as the Department of Provincial Administration confirms uninterrupted services nationwide from Dec. 31, 2025, to Jan. 4, 2026, to support citizens during the New Year holiday period.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Department of Provincial Administration has said it will continue providing civil registration and national identification card services during the year-end and New Year holiday period to support citizens who require official documents for government transactions or assistance. The services, maintained by the Ministry of Interior, ensure uninterrupted public access.



According to the Prime Minister’s Office, registration and ID card services will be available from December 31, 2025, to January 4, 2026, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Local administrative officials, including district officers, civil registrars, village heads, and subdistrict chiefs, will also remain on duty to record births and deaths occurring within their jurisdictions during the holiday period.
