
BANGKOK, Thailand – OTOP CITY 2025, the country’s largest OTOP trade fair organized by the Ministry of Interior through the Community Development Department, concluded successfully with total sales exceeding 868 million baht, a rise of more than 20 percent from the previous year. The event took place from December 20 to 28, 2025.
On December 28, 2025, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul visited the event at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center in Nonthaburi Province to encourage OTOP entrepreneurs. He was joined by his spouse Thananon Niramit, Deputy Minister of Interior Sasithorn Kittidhrakul, Secretary-General to the Prime Minister Traisuree Taisaranakul, senior officials, and representatives from relevant agencies.
The nine-day event featured a lively atmosphere and attracted Thai and international visitors. Attendance reached 228,002 and sales surpassed targets, showing the tangible success of grassroots economic development.
The Prime Minister thanked the public for supporting OTOP products, emphasizing that each purchase directly generates income, creates jobs, and strengthens livelihoods for community-based entrepreneurs nationwide.
OTOP CITY 2025 reaffirmed the strength of Thai communities and highlighted the importance of community products in driving the grassroots economy. The event demonstrated how community initiatives can support sustainable economic growth and improve the quality of life nationwide, which is in line with the government’s policy. (NNT)
