Visitors gather along the Chao Phraya River to enjoy light and cultural displays during VIJIT CHAO PHRAYA 2025, an event that attracted more than 1.7 million people and generated an estimated 5.5 billion baht in tourism-related revenue for Thailand.

PATTAYA, Thailand – The Ministry of Tourism and Sports has announced the successful conclusion of VIJIT CHAO PHRAYA 2025, which generated an estimated 5.5 billion baht in tourism-related revenue.

Spanning 45 nights at 15 riverside locations, the event contributed to income distribution among tourism operators, hotels, restaurants, retail businesses, and riverside communities. Tourism and passenger boat services saw a surge in demand, with more than 1.7 million visitors flocking to the festivities, boosting the economy by around 5.5 billion baht.



According to the Ministry, the event became a dazzling national showcase, elevating Bangkok’s reputation as a world-class tourism hotspot and drawing crowds from across Thailand and far beyond, especially from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. These results highlight Thailand’s remarkable ability to turn grand events into engines of economic growth and international tourism appeal.

This initiative further cements the Chao Phraya River as a sustainable landmark for cultural tourism and world-class events, reinforcing its status as a key attraction in Thailand’s tourism sector. (NNT)
