Finance Ministry urges final spending as half-half plus scheme ends December 31

Shoppers use the “Half-Half Plus” co-payment scheme at participating retail outlets, as the Ministry of Finance reminds users to spend any remaining benefits before the program expires at the end of December.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Ministry of Finance has reminded participants in the “Half-Half Plus” co-payment scheme to use any remaining benefits before the program ends on December 31, urging them to spend up to the full project limit at participating outlets nationwide.

Participants may make purchases at physical stores from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and through participating food delivery platforms from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. until the final day of the program; any unused balances will expire after the deadline.



As of 11 p.m. on Dec. 24, total spending under the program had reached 80.08 billion baht. Public spending accounted for 40.69 billion baht, including 39.23 billion at retail shops and 1.47 billion through food delivery platforms, while government co-payments totaled 39.38 billion baht, including 37.99 billion at retail shops and 1.39 billion through delivery platforms.


As of now, 999,331 merchants have been registered in the program, including 89,698 food and beverage outlets that accept payments via delivery platforms. Officials also reported that 6.44 million participants had fully used their entitlements of 2,400 or 2,000 baht, representing 32.59 percent of all users.
