Thai Media Fund strengthens Korea partnerships to boost creative and digital media industry

Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Supamas Isarabhakdi chairs Thai Media Fund Board Meeting No. 6/2025 at Government House, endorsing renewed cooperation with South Korea’s KOCCA and expanded collaboration on advanced digital technologies to enhance Thailand’s media sector.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office Supamas Isarabhakdi, representing the Prime Minister and serving as Chairperson of the Thai Media Fund, presided over Board Meeting No. 6/2025 at Government House.

The meeting was attended by the Fund Manager, board members, experts, and representatives from relevant agencies. The Minister stressed the importance of advancing the Fund through comprehensive policy direction, media quality, and effective management systems. These efforts aim to build public trust and create responsible, sustainable growth opportunities for media professionals in all sectors.



The Board approved renewing the Memorandum of Understanding with the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) for an additional 3 years, effective upon the current agreement’s expiration on November 10, 2025. This cooperation will focus on knowledge exchange, training, and capacity building to enhance the international competitiveness of Thailand’s media industry.


The meeting also endorsed expanding cooperation with the Jeonju IT & CT Industry Promotion Agency, a Korean organization specializing in IT, digital content, and emerging technologies. This collaboration will offer Thai media producers opportunities to learn and apply advanced technologies, such as AI, XR, and the metaverse, to develop safe and creative media content.

The meeting reaffirmed the Fund’s commitment to systematic development by prioritizing human capital, governance, and multi-level partnerships. These efforts aim to ensure that safe and creative media remain a lasting positive influence in Thai society. (NNT)
