BANGKOK, Thailand – Thai airports are bustling with activity as athletes, coaches, and officials from across Southeast Asia arrive for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games, held from December 9 to 20. Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang Airports are serving as key gateways, welcoming delegations from every ASEAN country with warmth and hospitality.
To welcome them, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is distributing the “Amazing Bag” — a red welcome gift filled with items sourced from communities across the country. Each item reflects aspects of Thai culture, daily life, and craftsmanship, offering visitors a meaningful first impression of the host nation.
More than just souvenirs, the contents of the Amazing Bag represent the creativity and heritage of Thailand’s local artisans. The gesture symbolizes friendship and a personal welcome from the Thai people to their ASEAN neighbors.
TAT is working closely with organizers and relevant agencies to ensure the SEA Games run smoothly and leave a lasting positive impression on all participants. From the moment they arrive, guests experience the hospitality, culture, and spirit that Thailand is proud to share with the region. (NNT)
