The recognition reinforces Thailand’s growing reputation as a regional leader in green tourism.

The government remains committed to elevating Thailand toward fully sustainable tourism, with initiatives focused on environmental protection, safety standards, service quality, and community involvement. These efforts aim to keep Thai destinations globally competitive and build trust among international visitors.

The Deputy Spokesperson also encouraged the public to engage in responsible tourism by choosing certified sustainable destinations, supporting community-run accommodations and local businesses, maintaining cleanliness, avoiding littering, and respecting local culture.

“Thailand is moving toward a new era of tourism—one that is not only beautiful, but truly sustainable and fair for everyone,” she said. (TNA)
