13 nations compete in international windsurfing championship at Jomtien Beach

International Competition: Windsurfers from 13 countries compete across 14 categories, including Techno 293 and IQ FOIL, showcasing skill and speed.

PATTAYA, Thailand – Windsurfers from 13 countries gathered at Jomtien Beach to kick off the 2025 TECHNO293 & TECHNO293 PLUS Asian Championship – Thailand International Windsurfing Championship 2026 (Stage 1), running from November 25–30, 2025. The event officially opened under the auspices of Mr. Sakon Phollukin, Vice President of Chonburi Provincial Association Organization, alongside Vice President of the Thailand Windsurfing Association, Vice Admiral Sarayut Daengtes, and other officials.

Organized by the Sports Authority of Thailand in collaboration with Pattaya City, Chonburi Provincial Administration, the Thailand Windsurfing Association, and Government Savings Bank, the competition aims to promote windsurfing among youth and the general public, enhance athletes’ skills, and provide opportunities for Thai athletes to compete with international talent.



The championship features 14 categories across two disciplines:

Windsurfing – 10 categories including Techno 293 for under-17 boys and girls, Plus Open for men and women, IQ FOIL Junior under-17, under-19, and Open divisions for both genders.

Wing Foil – 4 categories including Open men and women, Masters 40+ men, and Youth under-19 men.

Opening Ceremony: Officials and organizers officially kick off the 2025 TECHNO293 & TECHNO293 PLUS Asian Championship at Jomtien Beach, Pattaya.

Participants represent Thailand, India, Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States, and the Czech Republic, competing for glory and experience in a world-class setting.

The event not only showcases high-level competition but also serves as a test venue and training exercise for officials ahead of the 33rd SEA Games, set to take place from December 9–20, 2025, reinforcing Pattaya’s reputation as a hub for sports tourism and supporting the city’s economy.

Spectators and athletes alike praised the organization and scenic venue, highlighting the festival-like atmosphere of Jomtien Beach, where the thrill of competition meets stunning coastal views.
