PATTAYA, Thailand — Residents and visitors in Pattaya and the surrounding Chonburi area should prepare for cooler, windy conditions over the next 24 hours, as northern high-pressure systems extend across Thailand.
According to the Thai Meteorological Department, the city will experience chilly winds with temperatures dipping to 16–18°C overnight and highs reaching 28–30°C during the day. Strong northeast winds, blowing at 10–30 km/h, are expected to continue, creating a brisk seaside environment along Pattaya Beach.
While rainfall across eastern Thailand is generally light, coastal waters off Pattaya may see waves up to 2 meters, with even higher waves in areas experiencing thunderstorms. Mariners and water sports operators are advised to exercise caution and avoid travel in stormy conditions.
The cooler weather follows a national trend, with upper and lower northern regions experiencing frost and temperatures dropping further, while southern Thailand sees scattered rain and thunderstorms, particularly in the lower southern provinces. Residents are encouraged to dress warmly, secure outdoor belongings against strong winds, and monitor local weather updates to stay safe during this brief cold spell.
