BANGKOK, Thailand – Mexico’s Fatima Bosch Fernández won the Miss Universe 2025 crown on Friday (Nov 21) in Nonthaburi, topping a field of 120 contestants at the 74th edition of the pageant. Thailand’s Praveenar “Veena” Singh finished as 1st Runner-up, delivering one of the night’s strongest performances and energizing the host-nation crowd from start to finish.

The event at IMPACT Challenger Hall 2 moved through multiple elimination rounds, beginning with the Top 30 and narrowing to a Top 12 that included delegates from Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Guadeloupe, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, China, the Philippines, Thailand, Malta, and Côte d’Ivoire. Praveenar’s advancement drew some of the loudest cheers of the evening.

Competition tightened as the Top 5—Thailand, the Philippines, Venezuela, Mexico, and Côte d’Ivoire—took part in the question segment. A live performance by Thai artist Jeff Satur set the backdrop as each finalist made her final case to the judges.

Fernández secured the title after the final deliberation, concluding a night marked by her confident stage presence. Singh’s 1st runner-up finish capped a consistently strong campaign across the preliminary rounds, national costume segment, and swimsuit performance, earning her widespread praise and pride from Thai audiences.
