BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul presided over a promotional activity for the Upskill–Reskill Development Program designed for stores participating in the Half-Half Plus Co-payment scheme. He was joined by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Prime Minister’s Office Minister Supamas Isarabhakdi, and Deputy Minister of Interior Sakda Vicheansil.
Government Spokesperson Siripong Angkasakulkiat stated that the Cabinet recognizes the importance of strengthening the capabilities of small businesses participating in the program. To support this effort, up to 400,000 stores are eligible to participate in skill development activities between November 19 and December 19, 2025. Participating merchants may choose from three development paths: joining a food-delivery platform, completing online training provided by the Government Savings Bank, or completing online training offered by the Department of Business Development under the Ministry of Commerce.
The first 400,000 eligible stores that meet the program’s criteria will receive a 20% government support bonus based on sales generated through the Half-Half scheme, calculated only on the government-subsidized portion of those sales. The benefit will be granted from the date each merchant completes training until December 19, 2025, up to a maximum of 2,000 baht per store. Results will be announced on December 23, 2025, via the Tung Ngern application and SMS, with funds transferred to merchants on December 25, 2025, through their linked Krungthai Bank accounts.
During the event, the Prime Minister also visited booths from key program partners, including the Government Savings Bank, the Department of Business Development (DBD), the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA), and major food-delivery platforms such as Grab, Lineman, Robinhood, and ShopeeFood—demonstrating strong inter-agency cooperation in supporting small businesses nationwide.
