BANGKOK, Thailand – The government has introduced a new round of the Half-Half Plus (Kon La Krueng Plus) copayment scheme to support food vendors and restaurant owners in adapting to the expanding online marketplace, particularly the rapidly growing food delivery sector. In addition to easing household expenses, the initiative aims to help small businesses transition from offline operations to digital platforms.
Deputy government spokesperson Lalida Periswiwatana said the measure is designed to make it easier for restaurant operators to expand their online sales channels. Through this policy, the government will provide participating vendors with online and delivery-related upskilling, along with benefits of up to 2,000 baht for those who receive at least five orders during the scheme period.
The scheme will run from November 19 to December 19, 2025, covering food and beverage establishments participating in food delivery platforms. The goal is to increase sales, distribute income more widely, and empower local businesses to enter the digital economy with greater confidence.
The Deputy Spokesperson said the initiative is expected to help food vendors increase sales, reach new customers, and grow their presence in the online market—a significant step in strengthening grassroots economic activity and supporting small businesses in the digital era. (NNT)
