Minister Surasak Phancharoenworakul toured the new FUTURIUM center, testing interactive exhibits and career simulations, as students nationwide get hands-on opportunities to explore robotics, smart cities, agriculture, and 27 emerging professions.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Thailand’s new FUTURIUM center—an innovation and career-exploration hub developed by the National Science Museum Organization (NSM)—opened for full public access on November 11, with Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) Surasak Phancharoenworakul inspecting the facility, meeting students, and testing several of its interactive learning stations.

Accompanied by senior MHESI officials and NSM executives, Surasak toured Innovation World, where students explored exhibits on smart-city systems, robotics, disaster-response tools, and modern agriculture. The center saw a steady flow of school groups taking advantage of its first full operating day.

Minister Surasak then visited Job World, a large zone where young people can try simulations for 27 emerging professions. The activities allow students to experiment with roles such as genetic developer, mechanical engineer, automotive designer, logistics planner, solar energy engineer, and product designer.

Surasak later joined several sessions himself, suiting up for a petroleum geologist simulation and later stepping into a pharmaceutical innovation room to try drug-development tasks.

The MHESI Minister said he hopes students nationwide, including those with limited access to such resources, will have the chance to visit FUTURIUM, encouraging families to explore the center as a space where technology, science, and future careers come to life through engaging, hands-on experiences.
