
KHON KAEN, Thailand – A passenger tour bus traveling from Bangkok to Khon Kaen crashed into the rear of a cement truck near the Ban Jod Nong Kae Weigh Station in Phon District, Khon Kaen Province, leaving two people dead and 30 others injured.
Rescue teams had to use hydraulic cutters to extract the bodies of a husband and wife who died at the scene. The collision occurred at around 4:30 a.m. on the Mittraphap Road heading toward Khon Kaen.
Police reported that the bus driver, Mr. Jarukit, 40, collided with the cement truck driven by Mr. Thanapon, 24. Alcohol tests for both drivers came back negative. Authorities are gathering evidence and investigating the exact cause of the accident. (TNA)
