GYEONGJU, South Korea — Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul delivered a keynote address at the APEC CEO Summit 2025 on October 30 in Gyeongju, Republic of Korea, presenting Thailand’s vision as a connector of economies and people, with a development strategy focused on inclusion, innovation, and long-term sustainability.

Speaking under the theme “Bridge. Business. Beyond,” Anutin outlined Thailand’s transition toward a high-income, innovation-driven economy, supported by policies such as the “Half-Half Plus” co-payment scheme, digital upskilling programs for over 500,000 people, and expanded access to technology.

The Prime Minister also discussed support for small and medium-sized enterprises through improved access to financing, digital tools, and market-expansion programs such as “SME Reboot and Go Digital.” He noted progress in digital integration, including cross-border payment systems and regulatory reform to strengthen transparency and align with global standards. Thailand’s plan to join the OECD by 2030 was presented as part of this broader transformation.

In addressing future industries, Prime Minister Anutin highlighted collaboration with global tech companies and investment in digital infrastructure, including 5G and undersea cables. On climate policy, he underscored progress in clean energy, green finance, and sustainable industry, with Thailand working toward carbon neutrality by 2050 and net-zero emissions by 2065.

The speech concluded with a call for stronger regional cooperation to support open trade, secure supply chains, and shared prosperity. The event closed with a warm reception from attendees, who gathered for photographs and conversation following the address at the Gyeongju Art Center. (NNT)
