BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul chaired the first 2026 executive meeting of the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) at Government House, where four key operational plans were approved to strengthen security and stability in Thailand’s southern border provinces.
Among the approved items was a three-year peacebuilding plan aimed at strengthening resilience and supporting development across affected communities. A separate operations plan was endorsed for areas under the Internal Security Act, setting out coordinated measures between civil, police, and military sectors to maintain order and respond to emerging threats.
The meeting also approved the 2026 organizational structure and task force composition of ISOC Region 4 Forward Command. These frameworks define leadership responsibilities, personnel deployment, and interagency coordination to enhance operational readiness in the field.
Prime Minister Anutin called for careful implementation of each plan to ensure effective and well-coordinated outcomes. He stressed that improving public safety, restoring trust, and supporting peaceful coexistence in the southern region remain national priorities.
The Premier also instructed the committee to strengthen efforts against online scams and call-center fraud, directing all relevant agencies to work jointly in monitoring and disrupting criminal operations that threaten public welfare and confidence in state institutions. (NNT)
