PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya has been officially invited to serve as the host city for the WSSA 2026 Asian Sport Stacking Championships, an international event that will bring together more than ten Asian nations in a competition of speed, focus, and precision.
The decision followed a high-level meeting on October 15, chaired by Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya, joined by representatives from the World Sport Stacking Association (Thailand).
Sport stacking — often known as “cup stacking” — is a fast-paced sport where individuals or teams race against time to stack and unstack specially designed cups in predetermined sequences. The discipline has gained global popularity for its ability to improve focus, agility, and hand-eye coordination, making it a valuable developmental activity for young athletes.
Thailand, through the World Sport Stacking Association (Thailand), holds official membership in the World Sport Stacking Association (WSSA) and has been promoting the sport nationwide to foster youth development and international sporting excellence.

With its strong sports infrastructure, modern facilities, and international connectivity, Pattaya’s Eastern National Sports Training Center has been identified as an ideal venue for hosting the 2026 championships. The event is expected to enhance Pattaya’s image as a hub for international sports and family-friendly tourism.
Mayor Poramet expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity, stating that Pattaya is fully prepared and honored to co-host the WSSA 2026 Asian Sport Stacking Championships, emphasizing that such events play a vital role in promoting youth potential, international friendship, and the city’s sustainable sports tourism goals. He added that the official competition dates will be announced by the association soon once coordination with international teams is finalized.
