PATTAYA, Thailand – Celebrations were in full swing at Muang Pattaya 11 School (Pattaya Sathit Secondary School) as the institution marked its 17th anniversary. The event, attended by school administrators, teachers, parents, students, and local officials, was presided over by Mayor Poramet Ngampichet, who joined in honoring the milestone.

A highlight of the celebration was the presence of Indian actor Gagan Malik, known for his roles as Prince Siddhartha in the Sri Lankan film Siddhartha Gautama and key appearances in popular Indian series such as Ramayana and Hanuman. In a moment that thrilled the attendees, Malik wrote the message “I Love Thailand” alongside his signature on a portrait of the Commander of the 2nd Army, drawing cheers and applause from the crowd.

Malik’s participation added a special international touch to the festivities. Earlier this year, he had been appointed as a goodwill tourism ambassador for Cambodia on a voluntary basis but later withdrew, citing his desire to show respect for Thailand.

The 17th anniversary event not only celebrated the school’s achievements but also highlighted Pattaya’s commitment to cultural exchange and fostering relationships with international figures in education and the arts.
