PATTAYA, Thailand – The Thai Meteorological Department issued its 10th warning on Typhoon Bualoi, forecasting heavy to very heavy rainfall across several regions of Thailand on September 29–30. The storm’s influence is expected to bring strong winds and rough seas to Pattaya and the eastern seaboard, adding to the already hot and humid weather.

Local authorities warn that flash floods, runoff from hills, and river overflows may occur in low-lying areas. The sea off Pattaya is expected to be rough, with waves reaching 2–3 meters and higher near storm-affected zones. Residents and visitors are advised to exercise caution, avoid venturing into flooded areas, and for small boats to remain ashore until the storm subsides.

Weather forecasts for Pattaya and Chonburi province indicate thunderstorms in about 70% of the area, with heavy rain in some locations. Winds will blow from the southwest at 20–40 km/h, and temperatures will range from 23–33°C, maintaining the hot and humid conditions typical for this time of year.

Despite the storm warnings, some tourists continue to enjoy Pattaya’s beaches. A foreign visitor was spotted sunbathing on the sand, taking advantage of the warm weather between passing showers, highlighting the unpredictable conditions amid Typhoon Bualoi’s approach.

Officials urge residents and tourists to stay updated on weather developments and follow safety advisories during the storm.
