Rotary Club Global Pattaya Celebrates 1st Anniversary, Honored with “Club Excellence Award”

PATTAYA, Thailand – On September 6, 2025, Rotary Club Global Pattaya marked its first anniversary with a grand celebration at the Hilton Pattaya Ballroom. The milestone was made even more special as the club proudly received the prestigious “Club Excellence Award” from Rotary International, USA, in recognition of its outstanding contributions to community service.



The celebration brought together over 200 distinguished guests, including Prosecutor Kerati Kaenkaew, Dr. Darin Panthusak, Vice Chairman of Tiffany Show Pattaya, Pratheep Singh Malhotra, Past District Governor of District 3340, Rotary International; Nittaya Patimasongkroh, Executive Chair of YWCA Bangkok–Pattaya; and President-elect Brett Biddleson, a seasoned American businessman. Local politicians, business leaders, and representatives from neighbouring Rotary clubs in U-Tapao, Rayong, and Bangkok also attended.

The event was officially opened by Wiwat Srisompong, Governor of District 3340, Rotary International. Charter President Rosemarie Gamito delivered the opening remarks, outlining the club’s mission and reflecting on a year of meaningful service. Guests enjoyed a warm atmosphere of friendship and camaraderie, complemented by vibrant African dance performances, live music by “Jason & Friends,” and a welcoming ceremony for new club members.


From its inception, Rotary Club Global Pattaya was conceived as a truly international club. Members hail from Switzerland, Thailand, the Philippines, Portugal, Germany, the United States, India, Russia, and Belarus. English was chosen as the official club language, reflecting its global vision. Over the past year, the club welcomed more than 20 members and established a strong foundation of community-focused initiatives.

The Rotary Club Global Pattaya received the “Club Excellence Award” from Rotary International, recognizing the club’s outstanding community service.

At the heart of the club’s mission are projects benefiting children and youth in Greater Pattaya. Key initiatives include funding school desks and chairs and installing a new drinking-water system at a local school. These projects provide hundreds of students with safe drinking water while reducing reliance on plastic bottles and supporting environmental sustainability.


The club’s efforts have not gone unnoticed. Rotary International in the United States recently honored Rotary Club Global Pattaya with the “Club Excellence Award,” confirming its status as a leader in community service.

President Rose Gamito reflected on the year’s achievements while highlighting plans for the future. The first anniversary celebration not only marked past accomplishments but also ushered in a new chapter of challenges and opportunities under the incoming leadership of President-elect Brett Biddleson. Rotary Club Global Pattaya continues to pursue its mission of creating positive change, fostering friendship across cultures, and serving the community with dedication and passion.

The evening was capped with lively entertainment, a sumptuous dinner, and an atmosphere of shared pride—a fitting tribute to a year of remarkable growth and a promising vision for the years to come.
