BANGKOK, Thailand – SCG Packaging Public Company Limited (SCGP) announced to the Stock Exchange of Thailand on Friday that Suphajee Suthumpun has resigned from her positions as an Independent Director and member of the Audit Committee. The resignation is effective as of September 12, 2025.
In the official statement signed by SCGP CEO Wichan Jitpukdee, the reason cited for her departure was “other commitments”.
The resignation comes as Ms. Suphajee is strongly tipped to be appointed as the new Minister of Commerce in the incoming government cabinet. Stepping down from corporate board positions is a standard procedure for individuals preparing to take on ministerial roles. (NNT)
