PATTAYA, Thailand – Two young men, including a Bolt rider, were violently attacked by a group of 7–8 teenagers outside a rental building near Theppharit Housing Estate in Nongprue on the evening of September 10, raising fresh concerns about street safety in Pattaya.

At around 10:36 p.m. on September 10, police received reports from 25-year-old Sutath and 20-year-old Supachok that they had been assaulted by the group, who arrived on multiple motorcycles armed with knives and baseball bats. The attackers struck the victims, damaged their property, and destroyed a motorcycle and mobile phone before fleeing, threatening, “If we see you again, you’re dead.”

Sutath, the Bolt rider, explained that he had recently moved from Rayong and had just started dating his current girlfriend. He was unaware that she had previously been connected to one of the attackers. Over the past two days, the victims noticed hostile stares from the group, culminating in the violent confrontation.

Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and are actively pursuing the suspects to bring them to justice. The incident highlights ongoing safety concerns in Pattaya, particularly for residents and workers navigating public areas at night. Police urge citizens to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity to help prevent further incidents.
