Outgoing Cabinet hosts farewell luncheon for press ahead of transition

BANGKOK, Thailand – Deputy Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai and several Cabinet members shared a meal with members of the press at Government House on September 9, following what was expected to be the final Cabinet meeting of the outgoing administration. Joining the event were Ministers Chusak Sirinil, Jiraporn Sindhuprai, Theerarat Samrejvanich, Government Spokesperson Jirayu Houngsub, and Deputy Spokesperson Sasikarn Watthanachan.


During the gathering, the acting prime minister and Cabinet officials thanked the media for their role in relaying government updates to the public.

The luncheon marked the conclusion of the outgoing administration’s official duties ahead of the incoming administration’s swearing-in ceremony. The current Cabinet is preparing to transfer responsibilities once the new Council of Ministers is granted an audience with His Majesty the King. (NNT)
