
BANGKOK, Thailand – Minister of Foreign Affairs Maris Sangiampongsa chaired a Team Thailand meeting yesterday (Aug 24) at the Ambassador’s Residence in Stockholm during his official visit to Sweden from August 24 to 26. The meeting was attended by officials from the Royal Thai Embassy and representatives of Thai agencies in Sweden, including the Defense and Air Attaché, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and the Thailand Board of Investment.
During the gathering, Maris outlined the government’s approach to advancing economic diplomacy and strengthening international cooperation. Discussions focused on expanding partnerships in clean energy, green transition, the defense industry, and innovation, with support from the Thailand and Nordic Countries Innovation Unit (TNIU).
The Foreign Affairs Minister also highlighted the need to support the well-being and active involvement of more than 60,000 Thai nationals living and working in Sweden, recognizing their contribution to strengthening Thai–Swedish relations. (NNT)
