Sixth “Fun with Thai Fabrics” edition blends traditional craftsmanship with innovative eco-friendly designs to meet global fashion standards.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Community Development Department has released the Thai Textiles Trend Book Autumn/Winter 2025–2026, the sixth volume produced under the royal initiative “Fun with Thai Fabrics” of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya. Her Royal Highness served as Editor-in-Chief and wrote the royal preface. This year’s theme, “Future Fashion: Creative Innovation for Sustainability,” showcases how traditional Thai craftsmanship and locally sourced natural fibers can be transformed into contemporary designs that meet global fashion standards while promoting sustainable practices.

The publication builds on Her Royal Highness’s vision of developing Thai products that meet international quality while remaining affordable to a wide audience. She has long encouraged the recognition of locally made fabrics, garments, porcelain, and other crafts for their ability to rival foreign goods, making them accessible to middle-income and emerging consumers.

The latest edition incorporates research into traditional techniques and explores the use of 12 types of natural fibers, including silk, hemp, cotton, lotus, banana, pineapple, bamboo, water hyacinth, and torch ginger. These materials are reimagined in eco-friendly, modern applications that boost Thailand’s sustainable fashion industry while preserving its cultural heritage.

The book offers practical insights into material innovation, market trends, and style directions for Autumn/Winter 2025–2026, describing Thai textiles as both a source of national pride and a competitive offering for the global fashion market.
