Lt. Gen. Boonsin visits Ta Muen Thom to boost troop morale; crowd gathers in emotional show of support.

SURIN, Thailand – Lieutenant General Boonsin Paadklang, Commander of the 2nd Army Region, visited the Ta Muen Thom border post in Surin Province to inspect the situation along the Thai–Cambodian frontier and offer encouragement to soldiers stationed there.

As the commander arrived, a large crowd of locals and tourists who had been visiting the ancient Khmer temple near the post gathered to show their support. Many approached Lieutenant General Boonsin to offer words of encouragement, embrace him, and chant “chaiyo” (a Thai cheer of triumph), while others posed for photos with him.

The crowd expressed that their presence was not coordinated but voluntary, saying they came purely out of love for Thailand and to show appreciation for the soldiers guarding the border. (TNA)
